A rustic lodge complete with a fireplace is the perfect setting for group events and meals. Equipped with a full kitchen, delicious and affordable meals can be provided for your group or you may choose to do your own cooking. An overhead projector, large screen, and surround sound system also make it the ideal place for company seminars, church retreats, power point presentations, or family movie night.

Three dormitory-style cabins offer indoor sleeping arrangements for 100 guests. Each cabin contains 30-33 beds and is divided into sections, which can be closed and locked to maximize privacy. The beds are covered with commercial-quality mattress covers for safety and comfort. (Guests will need to provide their own bedding.)
Two bathhouses with hot showers are closely located to the cabins. Each bathhouse provides the necessary restroom and bathing facilities for both men and women. (Guests will need to provide their own wash cloths, towels, and toiletries.)
RV Sites: Designated back-in sites include six 30-amp circuits with heavy 110 outlets. Also available are plenty of regular 110 outlets with 20 amp circuits. Water is available to fill blue water tanks and dump station is available for gray and black water dumping.
A screened-in building with cement flooring, ample lighting, and electrical outlets can be used as an alternate meeting space, crafting area, or additional sleeping quarters. Furniture can be moved in or out to accomodate group needs.
Natural stone benches, a pulpit area, and an old rugged cross are peacefully arranged among the pine trees to form an outdoor sanctuary. This charming venue will easily seat 90-100 people and has plenty of room for additional chairs. It ia a beautiful place for worship services, weddings, and other special events.
A nicely surfaced court, removable volleyball net, and two basketball goals create a great place for family fun, group teambuilding, or healthy exercise. Overhead lights and nearby electrical outlets allow our guests to play evening games or dance to their favorite music.
No camping trip is complete without cooking s'mores and singing songs around a campfire. Our campfire circle consists of stone benches which can comfortably and safely sit 50-60 people around a designated fire pit. Wood is provided for your campfire at no extra charge.
SPECIAL NOTE: Camp Thunderbird is legally obligated to follow and enforce any fire restrictions mandated by the USFS.
Horses and mules are allowed on the property along with temporary corrals. Campers are allowed to ride out the back gates of the property into the national forest. All droppings must be picked up before leaving. A trailer will be provided to deposit droppings which the camp will dispose of.
